This award was for the work we did in partnership with the MOD in identifying, designing and delivering a range of Countering IEDs training programmes to the UK Armed Forces. These programmes will give service personnel a greater understanding of the IED threat, plus the skills required to identify and respond to potential IED attacks.
Our work on the training packages was focused around developing the underlying knowledge and training skills basis. This was through a Train The Trainer package, a modular skills delivery training package that all armed forces personnel must complete yearly and various other briefing packages in support of staff officer training. We rolled out this package within 2 months of the contract award and it was extremely well received by the UK defence customer, which led to it being nominated for the TJ Awards.
TJ (Training Journal) was first published in 1965 as Training Officer and was re-branded as TJ: the publication for learning and development in November 2005.
