Post-Conflict Recovery is a division of Explosive Learning Solutions, specifically established to deliver interventions which support the humanitarian agenda in post conflict environments. We deliver training, consultancy and strategic guidance in the field of EOD, ERWD, IEDD and bring together experts from the EOD/Mine Action fields, professional training developers and organisational developers. Our current work includes international projects and work in the UK.

Our Post-Conflict Recovery is focused at capacity building, both directly to national authorities, or through partner NGOs. It has reach-back into the rest of the company, offering specialisms in a variety of associated fields, including: Project Management, Organisational Management and Development, Change Management, Learning Design, Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics Management, plus International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) compliant EOD training to levels 1, 2, 3 and 4.

We adopt a thematic, integrated approach to transformation initiatives. We are expert in defining long-term measurable success and then establishing a framework of development in order to realise this success. This may be to generate new capability, to regenerate an existing capability, or to upgrade performance. We acknowledge the increasing challenges facing the humanitarian development sector, both in terms of costs and complexity.

We can apply these themes across the conflict recovery space, working directly with national authorities or partners. We also work with NGOs, developing their own capability in what is often a fast moving and dynamic threat environment.

We can provide holistic and integrated interventions throughout the transition and recovery from conflict, including direct support to the disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration process.

Our current capacity building work includes strategic planning assistance to national authorities, field surveys, the testing and evaluation of equipment, the training of national managers and in-country coaching and mentoring. Our staff are internationally recognised for the work they do in both the management / training field and in the EOD / IED field. It is this union which makes Explosive Learning Solutions unique in the capacity development in the recovery of post-conflict countries.
