Course Outline
An introduction to the generic processes and procedures of International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) and how they are applied. This includes planning and implementation of mine action activities at headquarters and field level for subjects such as:
- IMAS organisational structure
- Non-Technical Surveys
- Technical Surveys
- Quality Assurance & Quality Control procedures
- Operational Site Management
It includes case studies showing how IMAS procedures have been implemented on various clearance sites worldwide.
This course is classroom based and subject matter is IMAS compliant.
Who is it for?
This course assists the transition of tri-service military qualified EOD operators seeking employment opportunities in the humanitarian demining world.
